Blue Torch Home Care Limited is a multiple award winning nurse led Home Healthcare agency registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission in Nigeria with registration number RC: 1020370. Focusing on Home Care nursing, Nursing entrepreneurship, nursing research (Clinical and non-clinical) and human resource development for Health with nursing focus.

We are one of the first Home Healthcare Agencies in Nigeria whose aim is to make Home care a house hold name; to make health care affordable and accessible in the home of clients as well as to reduce the length of hospital stay and admissions. Our sole aim of establishment is taking healthcare to the homes of all categories of patients and clients. We have cared for about 2800 clients since our inception. We deliver quality home healthcare to clients in the convenience of their homes, schools, offices, churches and events. Our services range from: Home care nursing, provision of live-in-nursing Services, Travel nursing services, visitation and Hourly nursing services. Also we work to provide home physiotherapy services, First Aid, Nutrition and Diet Support, Tele Nursing, Research and Development to mention but a few. We have international relationships with World Health Organization (WHO) through Stop TB Partnership, and Health Information for All (HIFA), International Council of Nurses (ICN Telenursing working group) Society for Telemedicine and eHealth in Nigeria (SfTeHN), Parnership for Maternal Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH) and International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (ISfTeH), SANOFI Aventis amongst others. Blue Torch organized the first conference on Home Healthcare delivery in Africa and in Nigeria in 2013. Organized an International Leadership and entrepreneurship training/conference for 600 Nurses at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi (NAUTH) in collaboration with their Nursing services department.

We were a recipient of the Connecting-nurses Care-challenge Innovation Award 2012 on its effort to develop Home Healthcare in Nigeria an international award recognizing the innovation in nursing practices around the globe sponsored by SANOFI Aventis France and other international nursing bodies including ICN.

Blue Torch was amongst the 1st 20 in the African development Bank (AFDB) eHealth award competition 2012 with “Tele-Nursing” as project. We were semi-finalist at the Enterprise for Development (EfD) social enterprise solutions to improve Maternal and Newborn Child Health in Sub-Saharan Africa in 2016

Blue Torch is a member of International Home Care Nursing Organization (IHCNO) since 2012 and contributed to the development of international standard of home care practice and Medication management in Home care. We are a partner/Consultant to The Global Health Network (TGHN) OXFORD UK through Global Research Nurses (GRN) UK organizing free clinical and non clinical nursing Research workshops for Nurses in Nigeria since 2014 till date with the last event held 11th and 12th October 2018 in Enugu Nigeria which attracted 120 nurses from across Nigeria. Till date we have trained 305 nurses in clinical nursing research and non-clinical nursing research during 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018 nursing research workshops.

Blue Torch Home Care is a supporting organization of the Health Information For All (HIFA) since 2013, we are also a member of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health and Stop TB Partnership as a member organization since 2013.

Blue Torch collaborated with Vitiligo Support and Awareness Foundation (VITSAF) Lagos, Nigeria Jun. 2014-Jun. 2014 to organized a one day Road walk Vitiligo awareness campaign in Enugu City to Mark the world Vitiligo Day 2014, invited 40 persons and harmonized them for the road walk for creating awareness about Vitiligo.

Blue Torch is collaborating with the Traffina Foundation for Community Health in organizing road walks to promote Maternal and Child Health, and campaign against violence against women across the Six Geopolitical Zones in Nigeria an annual event since 2014.

Blue Torch is also a corporate member of the Society for Telemedicine and eHealth in Nigeria (SfTeHN) since 2012. Our staffs are recipient of Johnson &Johnson Scholarships for participation at INSEAD Strategic Innovation for Community Health (STICH) Nairobi Kenya November 2017 and November 2018.

Our ultra modern nursing 50 bedded nursing home in Enugu will be opened in less than a month which will serve the South-eastern Nigeria as there is only but one religious nursing home exiting in this region till date.

We have cut across the health care system and nursing sector since our inception in 2012 developing more than 1300 nurses in areas of entrepreneurship, leadership training, home care training, employment and nursing research.
